
Jowar Upma with Vegetables
Cracked jowar makes an upma with real bite, nutty, hearty and genuinely filling until lunch.
A crisp, golden dosa with no rice at all. The batter ferments overnight exactly like the classic version.
Grind the dal and fenugreek to a fluffy batter; grind the millet separately until fine.
Mix both batters with salt and ferment overnight (8–12 hours) in a warm spot.
Spread ladlefuls on a hot tawa, drizzle oil at the edges, and cook until the underside is deep gold.
Fold and serve hot with coconut chutney.
